This evaporator is not branded. We get it though another distributor.

It operates by use of a float switch. Once enough water comes into the pan, the float raises and energizes the heater. Technically it’s always on, just not operating.

I recommend that you call our sales team regarding this question. From my understanding, the condensate evaporators are normally installed inside the unit and for an air conditioner I am not sure what the height should be.
