You don't show the back side of the valve reason I ask is I have seem some that have what appears to be a small bleeder port but he old ice maker I am fixing for the lodge does not have this little port on it. Which is no real issue if I know what to do with that port. Block it off or does it go to the drain and help keep the water fresh. I am figuring these might be newer replacement valves. But still leave the question about the small port.
The new valve does indeed have a vent port, how ever they are not drilled out so there is no need to block it. if your machine does have the vent tube just drill the port out with drill bit the size of the inside diameter of the hole. we have installed several of the newer vavles and they work great.
Wayne, There is a Small hole in the back of the Cup so that the Cotter pin can be Removed, and the Neddle and seat can be cleaned. If you have any questions I might be ble to help. I guess you can reply..
This appears to be a design change from the older models. The best way to determine if it is the correct valve would be to have the model and serial number of your ice machine.
I need a dump valve for this machine, the numbers on this piece of equipment are pcn008982, p/n 24-0489-3, and H9229. I know this is a old machine but it is still kicking out Ice.
