Oh, goodness. That could be tricky to repair. I recommend bringing it to a machine shop where they can refill the hole and then re-drill it. They will need a special drill bit to create the right threads. It may not be a bad idea to bring the rod with you so they have a solid understanding of exactly what you need.
If they can not repair it, it may be time to purchase a new slicer. I have attached a few options below.
