Yes this works well to keep the freezer door closed automatically. Mounting is either flush type or off-set and works by a hydraulic arm/closer.

Yes this system does keep the door on your cooler or freezer shut when it is closed. You mount the Hook above the door and the door closer latch on the door. You must order both pieces to complete the latch. Here is further information.
