The below sealant will work better in your situation. However, neither of the sealants will create a gasket. They will simply hold an existing gasket in place.

Can I use the Clear Food Grade Silicone to seal a crack in a large container to hold ice in the freezer?

I have a crack in the ice bin that is used to hold ice from the automatic ice maker. Will this be safe for this and will it seal for a long time or will it just crack again after a short time?

Yes, this sealant will fix the crack on your freezer ice bin. It is food grade and therefore safe to use around edible products.

I want to use this product to seal the connection of a leaky line on a hydration bladder. I cut the line to insert a filter, but it leaks now and I would like to seal both ends around the filter.

I think this silicone sealant will work temporarily but not in the long run. You may need to reapply if the leak reappears.

Constant Direct Contact with Food

Can this sealant be used where there would be constant direct contact with food? In other words, could I use it to seal around a gate valve on a 5 gallon bucket which is used to store and then dispense honey?
