Question

Do you have sleeves to use with these cups? How insulated are they against the heat?

Some of our older parishioners are concerned about the sturdiness of the cup and the feel of the heat through the paper versus the styrofoam.

EcoProducts actually produces their own hot cup sleeve. I've tried others, but this one by far is the best. It has more of the "green" messaging on the sleeve which is GREAT to show our customers what we're trying to accomplish with this line in our shop. The sleeves are definitely reusable unless they get wet, so encourage your customers to reuse them (reduces your cost too). They come 1200 to a case, so that is pretty handy size. I definitely would not send the EcoProducts hot cups out the door without a sleeve - the temp is way too hot through the paper plus the sleeve makes it much more stable to grip. The sleeves fits the 12, 16, & 20 ounce cups that we use - just be sure to slide the sleeve on tightly on the 12 - it doesn't quite slide on that one as well.

Yes, we do have hot cup sleeves. They fit cup sizes 10oz, 12oz, 16oz & 20oz (not 8oz) cups. Please see below.

The cups are intended for hot coffees/teas no hotter than 212ºF.

Unfortunately the conditions of a home compost set-up usually doesn't meet the optimal conditions for recycling/composting Eco-Products materials. A temperature upwards of 110 degrees F is necessary to break down the materials, and it's uncommon for a home compost to get that hot. Commercial compost sites are recommended. I've included a few options for research of Eco Products and finding a nearby commercial compost site for your convenience. I hope this helps!
