The Groen 149880 Black Float Switch Assembly was actually upside down in our picture. It's since been fixed. That said, I wasn't sure what you meant by orientation. Our technician explained this float switch assembly as follows: When the water level drops the float drops, the inlet solenoid engergizes, and this allows water to flow into the tank. Once the level raises the float raises and this cuts off water flow to the tank. On high/low level probes there's a high level shutoff and a low level cutoff.
