Yes, this container will fit your Blendtec blender. All of Blendtec's containers are interchangeable and commercial grade.

does this replace part # 40-501 ?

my current blendtec jars are part # 40-501, I can't find them but this looks the same. I have a smoother 13, is this the same part with a new number? Thanks

All of the Blendtec jars are commercial grade and universal - they fit all Blendtec machines.

This 64 oz Blendtec container does not have the appropriate blender dispenser lid to fit with the BD8 blender dispenser. You'll want container number 40-601-06. We do not feature this on the website, but if you call our friendly sales staff at 1.888.388.6372 we'll be more than happy to order it for you.
