There is a second hand and a minute hand. The second hand will complete a revolution in 1 minute. The minute hand will complete a revolution in 60 minutes.

Examples:

Example 1: Interval Timer/Outlet on with Audio tone after 53 minutes 21 seconds

1. Set power switch “off”.
2. Rotate “seconds” hand clockwise to the first mark past the
black “20” numeral.
3. Rotate “minutes” hand clockwise to the third mark past the
black “50” numeral.
4. Set the outlet control switch to the left position.
5. Observing the Precautions below, plug a load into the outlet.
6. Put power switch in the “on” position to start the timing cycle.
7. Result: Load will be on for 53 minutes 21 seconds. At the end of the
timing event, the buzzer will signal. Turn “off” the timer with the
power switch; reset a new timing cycle.

Example 2: Elapsed Timer Indicator/Time Unknown
1. Set power switch “off”.
2. Rotate “seconds” hand clockwise to the red “0” numeral.
3. Rotate “minutes” hand clockwise to the red “0” numeral.
4. Record an unknown timing event by putting the power switch in
the “on” position at the beginning of the event.
5. Result: The timer records the elapsed time until the power switch
is put in the “off” position.
Note: Red numerals count up; black numerals count down.
