Thanks for your question Ramona.

Our technician says a smaller bowl could probably be used with the Hamilton Beach CPM700 7 Qt Commercial Countertop Mixer, but we would not recommend straying from the 7 qt bowl designed for this unit.

There's no guarantee a smaller bowl would work/fit properly.
