This is a light duty slicer. I wouldn't do any more than 1-3 hours of slicing on this a day. Also, it can't handle cutting any cheese, or any frozen meat (so make sure you're only slicing non-frozen meat on this). For any more than 1-3 hours of use, I'd highly recommend upgrading to a gear driven slicer like the one I'm attaching.
