As this chute has a raised rim, a lid cannot be made to be flush with the countertop. Only way would be to recess the chute below the counter top and have a lid made to fit. This can be done, but for only one lid it can be costly for a consumer. I am a custom stainless manufacturer and have made custom architectural items where buying is not an option. Instead of recessing this chut you may consider a straight sleeve with an lid to suit.
